1967 Fender Princeton Reverb BlackfaceFender
Fender may have blessed the world with this Princeton Reverb in June, 1967 but it will be your ears that will be truly blessed once you hear the classic, vintage Fender tone that this baby puts out. The production date code is UF and the serial number is A18127 putting this Princeton at the tail end of the iconic Blackface period. This particular amp comes from the collection of a local area musician who's very finnicky about his equipment's tone and reliability. It's been under his ownership for the last 20 plus years and for a very good reason. It has killer tone! This is the clean tone that you've always dreamed of; warm, juicy, harmonically complex and with just enough bite and sparkle to add dimension and clarity to chords. This amp is extremely clean and shows very little wear and tear as it's lived the majority of the last two decades as a studio and practice amp. The original footswitch and vinyl cover will be included. The amp includes it's original Oxford speaker and a nice selection of NOS tubes. If there's one perceived negative about this amp, it's that the power transformer has been replaced. The bad news is that originality and collector value suffers. The good news is that the tone is still ridiculous and the replaced transformer makes the amp more affordable. This one is a total gem!
