Vintage Ibanez Roadstar Relic Made in Japan, CustomizedIbanez
What has more mojo that a vintage Japanese Ibanez? One that's been made into a Hippie Hot Rod, of course. This Ibanez Roadstar was built in February, 1983, serial number B830505. This guitar is built like the proverbial brick sh*t house and is a filthy, nasty tone machine that only mad man like Jerry Garcia could love. The maple cap neck is slim and fast with a perilously low action and was built for absolute speed. Chording and bending are effortless. It's also a total featherweight at 6 lb. 14 oz. With a tremolo, no less! That's stupid light! What's it sound like? Like a great Strat, of course. It's bright and spanky for cutting through a band mix but the tone is dense enough so that single notes carry some weight so as to not sound thin. Obviously, the finish has been stripped and the body stained a brownish walnut color. There's an assortment of small dings, dimples, impressions, etc. The frets are on the low side but are smooth and not full of divots. This is a great guitar if you want a quality built, Strat style guitar with character and balls. We can throw in the tribal headstock logo free of charge.
