Danelectro Coral Custom-Assembly Hollow Body Electric Guitar Vintage 1960sDanelectro
Here's a weird one - truly one of a kind! We have a late 1960s Coral body with a short-scale neck paired with it from the same era. It was assembled by a local builder after attaining spare parts from Danelectro's bankruptcy. The pickup is amazingly robust but not boomy, becoming very well-voiced for blues or jazz. Structurally it's in good shape, cosmetically it has some lacquer cracks that run the length of the body on the top. It's also got a great deal of wear on the back of the neck (going to show someone loved this thing enough to put those kind of hours into it) and the tuners have been replaced with a nice set of Grovers. Aside from that there's some small surface scratching on the back, the Danelectro logo itself has separated from the headstock just between the "N" and "E", and the binding in the neck's pocket has become somewhat ill-fitted over time, but it doesn't affect the playability of it at all and isn't moving anywhere. If you're looking for a hollow body with a ton of character, this definitely has that. Don't miss out!
