Fender American Standard Stratocaster early 2000sFender
Sure, it would be pretty easy to start this description with a direct comparison of this guitar to Eric Clapton and his beloved 1950's mongrel Stratocaster, Blackie. But, we believe this Strat is good enough to stand tall on it's own merits. I mean, what's not to love? The fast, sleek mid 60's "C" shape maple neck with modern medium jumbo frets and a 9 1/2" fretboard radius? Yup, that's a good place to start as it plays nice and silky with a medium low action. The tone? Sure! It just has oodles of percussive, funky jangle and a biting Stratocaster punch! The weight? Yeah, it falls right into the Stratocaster sweet spot at 7 lb. 10 oz. This American Standard was manufactured between 2000-2001 and is in good overall condition. It has minimal fret wear and some moderate play wear in the form of some edge chipping, dings, impressions, light scratches, etc. Oh yeah, I forgot to add that if you buy this Strat you will wick instant mojo through your pores, you'll be playing "Cocaine" to legions of adoring fans and all your friends will start referring to you as Slowhand. You NEED this one.
