Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe USA 1998Fender
Here's an early run, U.S.A. built Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe amplifier. These early American Blues Deluxe amps are getting somewhat scarce and are starting to become a bit collectible amongst players. Personally, I find the older USA made version to be a touch warmer and smoother sounding than their modern, Mexican built counterparts. This amp has seen some duty in the trenches as the tweed is a bit worn and fraying on the edges. There's a couple of small stains and some light discoloration but there are no funky smells or heavy damage. This amp is a gigging machine! With reverb and approximately 40 watts of tube power in a reasonably sized 1x12 cabinet, there's not too many situations this amp won't excel in. Tonally, it's well broken in. It has that smooth, gravely voice only years of playing and gigging will get you. It's warm and full but still has plenty of chime and clarity when needed. Not only does it look vintage but at 20 years old, it practically is vintage!
