Fender Telecaster 1972 Daphne Blue Refinish with OHSCFender
Here is a classic 1972 Fender Telecaster refinished in what appears to be a 30+ old nitro daphne blue. Killer axe with some unoriginal features. Serial number 373843 dates it to '72 as well as the neck stamp. Gorgeous flamed maple neck with a walnut skunk strip; very balanced medium C shape. A light ash body; overall lightweight at only 7.5 pounds. Frets are in decent shape overall, slightly flat with divots in the open chord position but not affecting playability. A new bone nut with proportional spacing; 1 3/8" spacing, 1 5/8" nut width. Truss rod in great working order. Neck pocket is painted (clear indication of a refinish) but in excellent shape. Original switch and volume pot; tone pot replaced with a CTS; original caps. The pickups sound great, but appear to be unoriginal (period-correct but not grey bottom with Alnico poles through typical Fender-style flatwork). Original bridge plate, brass compensated saddles that look to be an upgrade. Included is the original Fender hardshell case in decent shape, about a 7/10 condition. Inquire for more details!
