Gibson Chet Atkins SST c.1989 w/ OHSCGibson
The Gibson Chet Atkins SST is an electric acoustic guitar that was designed by it's legendary namesake with the gigging musician in mind. Constructed of a mahogany neck and back with a spruce top and ebony fingerboard, the SST can be played as an acoustic guitar at stage volume without the fear of feedback. Weighing in at 7 lbs. 8 ozs., this particular guitar was owned by famed musician, Steve Earl. It also shows the effects of years spent as a working instrument. The original white finish has faded to a creamy, banana yellow. There are various small dings, impressions, scratches, hanger rash and lacquer checking. This guitar has all the character and aged vibe that only a well loved instrument can posses. The slim to medium shaped "C" profile neck feels fast and the frets are still in great condition showing minimal wear. This guitar will include the original brown / pink hard case that has nearly as much character at the guitar itself!
