Ibanez Roadstar IIIbanez
This Ibanez Roadstar II series RS135 was manufactured in Japan between 1984-1985. The legendary Japanese craftsmanship is evident throughout it's overall build quality as it's a tight, solid, well playing machine. A maple neck with matching painted headstock is mated to a basswood / birch body and topped off with a set of Ibanez Super 5 pickups. Controls include a 5 way switch with volume and tone controls and a phase switch. Total weight is 7 lb. 12 oz. The slim "C" shape neck plays great and has a nice, sleek feel yet is substantial enough to dig in when needed. The action is medium to low and imparts a fast, responsive feel to the overall playability. The Super 5 Pickups sound great! Tonally, very much in the "Strat" camp as they're chimey and bell-like yet fuller and with more power than a run-of-the-mill Strat pickup. The overall condition is very good for the vintage. This RS shows minimal fret wear and light play wear in the form of dings, small chips and light scratches. These vintage Ibanez guitars are finally starting to get the recognition they deserve as collectible instruments and are solidly built, great sounding guitars.
