Kramer Custom Abalone LP-Stylekramer
This Kramer Les Paul just might be the Holy Grail of moderately priced Les Pauls. This gorgeous beast was crafted in Korea by Gibson in the early 2000s, and these models are incredibly rare. The fact is these guitars were so good that Gibson shut down production just 2 years after they were released, as they found these high quality Kramers were cutting into the sales of their custom shop Epiphones. This LP Custom bears all the trademark signs of a solid Les Paul, a mahogany body, gorgeous quilt maple top finished in a splendid lemon drop yellow, and a maple neck and rosewood board that plays effortlessly. Overall, she weighs in at a comfortable 8lbs even, and is in almost pristine condition. There may be some light finish swirling, but overall this guitar has no buckle rash, and hardly many signs of play. Whoever owned this baby either took very, very good care, or left it in the case most it’s life. The pickups are Asian versions of Gibson’s 498T and 490R pups, and sound near as good. In a double blind test, you’d be hard pressed to distinguish this from it’s genuine Gibson counterpart. Pair to that top of the line hardware with Grover Tuners and a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and we’ve got here one of the finest moderately priced Les Pauls we’ve ever encountered in the shop. If you need a guitar that looks, plays, and sounds amazing, this Kramer Les Paul Custom might just be exactly what you need.
