Sigma by Martin DR8 MIJ Dreadnought AcousticSigma
Sigma guitars were Martin's entry level acoustics back in the day. The term "entry level" is borderline comical when describing this guitar as it's anything but. Weighing in at 4 lbs. 6 oz., this particular dreadnought was manufactured by the fine craftsmen in Japan most likely in the late 1970's to early 1980's. It has the early black on white label, serial number 31834. Considering the approximate vintage of this guitar, it's very clean. There's a little play wear such as light dings, chips and scratches. There's some moderate fret wear yet the guitar still plays well and has a thick, slightly chunky, round "U" shaped neck. This one is constructed with the good stuff; Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, back and sides and a spruce top. This is a great sounding guitar! It's rich and full bodied with a nice, smokey midrange Getting most of the D-28 looks and tone for a fraction of the cost, this guitar represents amazing value for the dollar.
