Vintage Gibson LG-1 c.1951Gibson
Here's a 1951 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar that is a total stunner. This guitar is a wonderful example of vintage Gibson Golden Era craftsmanship. It's constructed of a mahogany neck, mahogany back and sides, spruce top and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is finished in a beautiful, warm vintage sunburst. It has aged like a fine wine and is still in fair to good overall condition. There's a lot of chipping, checking, scratching, dimpling, impressions, etc. There's several repaired cracks on the guitar. There's also heavy pick wear and scratching from some aggressive strumming. Despite all the character marks, this baby is still solid and ready for another seven decades. The neck is a comfortable medium round "C" shape with rolled fingerboard edges. It's also a lightweight at 3 lb. 8 oz.. This is everything you dream of in a vintage acoustic guitar. Warm, resonant, comfortable and inviting. It's a great recording guitar and sounds great with a bass. They don't build them like this anymore!
